Amy Grothaus-Turner is Vice
President and Senior Consultant with HR Partners
International. Amy is a graduate of the University
of Cincinnati, with honors in
Pre-Personnel/Industrial Relations. Her HR career
spans 15+ years and includes dynamic and varied HR
experiences. Special skills acquired during her
career include coaching and developing employees,
partnering with internal customers to identify and
deliver human resource-related needs in support of
business strategies, facilitating training and
team-building sessions, as well as administering
policies, procedures, and programs.
Amy began her career at a
small, not-for-profit home repair and weatherization
organization which gave her broad exposure to all
facets of Human Resources. Her next position was
with a larger, family-owned oil company where she
was instrumental in building the Human Resources
department programs and processes. For the majority
of her career to date, Amy served in HR at Cognis
Chemicals (Emery Chemicals, Henkel Chemicals), a
$2.5 billion international specialty chemicals
company, where she moved swiftly up the career
ladder and gained significant experience along the
way in: benefits management, labor and employee
relations, recruitment and retention, succession
planning, performance management and training.
Prior to joining HR Partners, Amy served as Human
Resources Manager for Givaudan, the leading company
in the Flavors and Fragrance industry with a
workforce of nearly 6,000 employees and a presence
in over 100 countries.
A lifelong resident of
Cincinnati, Amy has volunteered her time to the
local soccer association and school system, and
remains dedicated to ongoing personal and
professional development.
