Penina C. Sachs, SPHR, is Vice President, Senior Consultant with HR Partners International. Penina has more than 22 years of experience as a Human
Resources leader primarily in the following industries: litigation
support, pharmaceutical, media marketing, healthcare, transportation and
technology. Penina is an innovative problem solver and works as a
consultative business partner able to translate business goals into HR
strategies and align resources to improve organization effectiveness.
Penina has broad HR management skills with particular expertise in the
areas of recruitment and retention; employee relations; coaching and
mentoring; benefit plans, design and administration; performance
management; employment law; policy development and administration. She
conducts training in the areas of supervision, interviewing, sexual
harassment prevention, workplace investigations and the disciplinary
process, effective performance management, among others. She also
performs HR audits, develops employee handbooks, and creates total
performance management plans (from job descriptions to evaluation
tools).
Most recently,
Penina has
specialized in assisting start-ups and small businesses integrate
effective HR practices and programs into their daily operations. Some
of her other endeavors have included creating and executing targeted
recruitment programs; developing an automated performance evaluation
tool; guiding businesses through the HR side of the merger/acquisition
process and workforce reductions; training and mentoring HR staff; and
managing workers’ compensation costs.
Penina has a
Bachelor’s
Degree from the University of Cincinnati and her Senior Professional in
Human Resources (SPHR) through SHRM/HRCI. Penina is an active member of
the Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association, currently serving as
both Membership Chair, and as a member of the Professional Development
Committee; previously serving as Treasurer and Secretary on its
Executive Board. She is also involved in her community, serving on the
Wyoming Afterschool Care Committee for three years. |
